Anna Maria fishing charters

It couldn’t be nicer around here with perfect weather and peek fishing it’s about as good as it gets.  I have trouble deciding in the morning when my customers leave it up to me.  Should I go offshore or should I stay inside either way I know we are going to kill them.  A lot of days I end doing some of both this time of year and it makes for one heck of a killer day of fishing.

Inshore the snook, redfish and trout are on fire as they always are this time of year.  On the better days we have been catch 50 or 60 snook a day when spending most the day targeting them.   A slow day would be 25 or 30.  There is keeper trout everywhere so when my fishermen want some fish to eat that has been a pretty easy order to fill.  The redfishing is finally starting to pick up too.  I have been catch a few keeper reds mixed in with the snook.  I did locate one really nice school of monster reds I hope to find again this week.

Offshore is just really starting to heat up as well and is getting ready to peak.  The snapper fishing has been as good as it has ever been since I have been a captain.  There are ton of catch and release grouper mixed in with them.  The kingfish are just starting to show up, they should be really good this week.   The cobia and permit are here.   If you want something giant the sharks and goliath grouper are starting to crank up now that the water is warming.

It’s really hard to beat the month of April for Anna Maria fishing charters.   So get out there and enjoy yourself.  I hope you have enjoyed my report.  I have a hand full of days left this spring is you want to get out fishing with me.  Until next time have a great time on the water and be safe.  Capt Matt
